Our professional movers are trained to take care to avoid losing or damaging any of your belongings. However, accidents do happen and occasionally moves run into snags. For that reason, you should know what our mover’s liability is in case anything is lost or damaged during your move to your new home.
The Bill of Lading is your contract for the move and the valuation statement on it determines the movers’ liability.
There are two types of liability coverage offered by KEWL Moving Inc:
1. Limited Liability—this is your minimum coverage and ours is set at $0.60 per pound. So if any of your belongings are damaged or lost in the move, you would be paid $0.60 per pound. This covers basic liability and it’s not substantial protection.
2.Full Replacement Value Insurance We recommend 1 insurance company that offer full replacement value moving insurance direct to the shipper Moving Insurance.com. Full replacement coverage is more comprehensive coverage than valuation, and generally offers more options (deductible levels, higher coverage). This coverage option is a bit more involved, and needs to be obtained prior to the actual move day.
